Millie had organized a contest between the cooks in the kitchen once again. Today's menu had 4 special 3 course meals of which the guest could choose either red or blue.

Winner of the diners' favorite got bragging rights for the rest of the week.

No, those weren't gang colors, just the cooks showing which team they were on.

Unfortunately spending Sunday hanging out with Parker and then jumping right into her new job in New Orleans on Monday and Tuesday meant that Isabel didn't have time to share her news with people. Lana had had a quiet weekend at home. Neffie was with her as usual, curled up in the weak winter sun in the window. Lana sat there too, whenever she had downtime, reading her current book and enjoying the quiet.

Rube had never expected it could get this cold in New Orleans. Still, he had his warm clothes from Seattle, and he never minded the cold. It was actually kind of a nice night if you could get past the temperature.
